BUS 4046 Leadership and Teams in Organizations: Theory and Practice

Examines theories and practices of leadership, teams and change in organizations. Consider organizational structures and governance in profit and not-for profit settings and variables that create constructive organizational cultures. Examine leadership versus management; groups versus teams; impact of leadership styles and emotional intelligence; ethical influence of power and motivation of leader and team member behaviors effecting change; inspiring shared vision; setting measurable change planning objectives achieving innovative business solutions; employ conflict resolution and facilitation skills to accomplish effective group and team decision-making. Apply these theories as leaders and team members in a Leadership Practice Consulting Project with a client organization.
