HUM 5224 Anatomy Theater

This course centralizes both interior and exterior technologies of the body in performance-based media. Exploring, at first, the history of the anatomy theater in Renaissance Europe, students will examine diverse forms of embodiment and bodily contact in art, theater, photography, and film through conceptual frames in the medical humanities, disability studies, critical race studies, and queer theory.
