CLQ 3321 C22/GS:Governed Bodies: Reading Body Texts & Contexts
This course centers on reading the visual, human body as text. While offering possibilities for new ways of "seeing" sexed/gendered bodies, students study how past and present socio-cultural constructions define and discipline bodies through various theoretical lenses—feminism, men’s studies, trans studies, sociology, and cultural studies to name a few.
