BUS 4059 Innovation & Design Thinking
In a hands-on laboratory setting, students will learn about how firms produce innovations today using the revolutionary concept of design thinking. Students will learn the process of ideation and generate creative ideas. They will use their creative thinking skills to learn to build rapid prototypes and design human-centered solutions that are desirable, feasible and viable. They will learn how to innovate by balancing resource, time and technological constraints. Students in the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GIE) minor will participate in a class trip to Silicon Valley to visit an innovation lab and network with innovators and entrepreneurs. Prerequisite: None. A trip fee will be assessed.
