RLGN 3016 Masculinity, Religion, and Violence

Whether in acts of religiously-motivated terrorism, mass shootings, domestic violence, or sexual violence, why are the vast majority of perpetrators men? This course will analyze how religion(s) can contribute to those problems, while investigating how the same religion(s) and other sources might provide resources for constructing healthy masculinities.
