Sport Management (Minor)
The Continuing growth of the sports industry and its importance to numerous sponsors and institutions created demand for the systematic study of sports management practices. The growth of the sport industry has created an increasing demand for well-trained managers. The Sport Management Minor at Dominican University of California addresses this need. The Sport Management Minor is open to all undergraduate students and helps prepare students for entry-level management careers in the sport industry.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the minor in Sport Management will be able to:
- Appraise employment opportunities available within the field of sport management.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the business management skills required to build a successful career in the sport and recreation market.
- Evaluate broader topics at work in the sport industry, such as psychological and gender issues faced by managers within the discipline.
