Global Public Health (BS and Minors)
Global Public Health education includes viewing health through a multidisciplinary lens, examining health concerns that move irrespective of national boundaries, and paying special consideration to health disparities and health delivery in resource-limited settings. This program is designed to educate the next generation of globally-conscious and community-engaged thought leaders who are dedicated to health and well-being in California and around the world. Students complete a required set of courses in global public health and are also encouraged to pursue their unique interests. Career-readiness pathways are designed to help graduates secure jobs or graduate school admission. Other program features include gaining real-world experience with a Global Public Health Internship, participating in a guided research project in the Senior Capstone, and engaging in community partnership experiences through service learning.
