HONO 3102 Cultural Anthropology
The study of human culture and social organization from a cross-cultural perspective. Topics include kinship, religion and belief systems, cultural transmission, power and social control, racism, gender and sexuality, the environment, social inequality and social change. This course includes a focus on ethnography, the primary methodology of anthropological research, and explores the use of applied anthropology to advance civic knowledge and promote community engagement. This course only satisfies the CORE requirement when offered as a service learning course.
