HIST 3003 The Globe Part 2: Imperialism, Colonization, and Post-Colonialism

A study of the history, cultural geography, and physical geography of the world’s empires and colonies, with special emphasis on 1500 to the present-day. This course discusses political, economic, and social developments throughout the past five centuries emphasizing patterns of authority, the individual, nature, society, and technology as they relate to the historical principles of "Empire," "Colony," and "Post-Colonial". This course will also explain the geographic diversity of natural landscapes and human societies and the relationship between culture and the physical environment.
