ENGL 3061 Native American Literatures
Study of the writings by Native American authors from a diversity of North American tribes: Cherokee, Chickasaw, Creek, Kiowa, Laguna, Mohawk, Navajo, Sioux, and others. From oral tradition to contemporary forms of literature, the course examines Native American themes relating to historical, cultural, and societal issues, such as identity, spirit world, earth, and language.
