ENGL 3037 Queer Anglophone Literature and Film
This course examines representations of queer sexuality in a British milieu through literature, film, and theory. Foundational texts in queer theory, including those by Foucault, Sedgwick, and Bersani, inform the reading of works across historical periods—from Renaissance to Victorian, modern to contemporary—and by authors including Marlowe, Shakespeare, Wilde, Rossetti, Forster, Woolf, Isherwood, Winterson, and Kureishi.
