BUS 4073 Managing Not-For-Profit Organizations
This course will examine the independent non-profit sector and the topics affecting the governance and management of nonprofit organizations. Readings and discussions will cover a wide range of themes including types of nonprofits (e.g. social welfare, charitable nonprofits, foundations), size and composition of the board of directors, grant writing, volunteer recruitment and management, fundraising, and strategic planning and execution.
