CMS 3801 Advanced Screenwriting
This course presents an overview of the art and craft of screenwriting for feature-length fictional films. Students learn screenplay structure through readings and watching sample films. Then they develop an original story and outline, considering elements like theme, genre, dialogue, scene description, dramatic texture and production values. For their central project, they write a first draft (90-page) screenplay, and finally a sample query letter for marketing their scripts.**Additional fee applies.**
