Business BA-to-MSBA-AI Program (MSBA-AI 4+1)

The Barowsky School of Business has a unique and exciting pathway from a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BA) degree with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence to a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA-AI). This BA-to-MSBA-AI program allows academically gifted business students to complete both the BA and MSBA-AI degrees in five (5) years of study, propelling them into a career in the fields of business analytics and AI. Transfer students can complete the program, but the number of semesters required will depend on the number and type of undergraduate units transferred to Dominican University of California.

The format of the BA-to-MSBA-AI Program saves students time and money, and better prepares them for higher-level management positions in the areas that lie at the intersection of business, analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. Curricula for the two degrees conferred (the BA in Business Administration and the MSBA-AI) emphasize the context of modern business, teamwork, hands-on corporate projects, and business techniques. Students also benefit from interacting with their peers—who come from countries around the world—in culturally diverse class groups.

BA-to-MSBA-AI students complete their AI concentration and may take three graduate courses to replace undergraduate courses. When students complete the undergraduate degree requirements, the BA degree will be conferred.

Students may apply for the 4+1 MSBA-AI pathway after completing at least 60 undergraduate units (junior standing) with a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better in all undergraduate coursework. Enrollment in graduate-level courses is subject to seat availability and approval through academic advising.

BA-to-MSBA-AI Program students may matriculate into the MBSA-AI program in the fall semester following completion of the BA degree. BA graduates must enroll in the MSBA-AI program within one year following their undergraduate graduation to retain the waiver for the MSBA-AI courses. If students do not maintain continuous enrollment from the BA to the MSBA-AI program, degree requirements may change as the BA and/or MSBA-AI program curricula are updated.
