ASPP 5254 Psychology of Injury and Rehabilitation

This Professional Development Workshop prepares students to support injured athletes and performers as they navigate through the complexities of injuries and rehabilitation. Students will learn about the psychological factors that influence recovery outcomes and the successful return to performance. Specifically, the course will address professional roles within interdisciplinary treatment teams, biopsychosocial considerations of injury, recovery, rehabilitation, and return to performance, theoretical models and research related to injury and rehabilitation plus mental skills needed for recovery and return to performance. This is a Pass/No Pass course.
