OT 6154 Professional Identity IV: Becoming an Engaged Practitioner
The fourth course in the professional identity series focuses on preparing students for the transition to fieldwork and doctoral capstone experiences. Students will explore the challenges they may encounter in maintaining their professional identity as occupation-based and client-centered practitioners. Emphasis is placed on strategies for navigating complex practice environments and upholding the values of the profession during fieldwork and capstone experiences. Students will refine their professional communication skills, deepen their understanding of client-centered and occupation-based care, and develop a framework for addressing ethical and practical challenges in real-world settings- 1 lecture hour.
