OT 6027 Occupations of Adults and Seniors I
First in a three-semester series of courses focusing on occupational therapy practice with adults and seniors experiencing physical disabilities. Content covered includes OT for medical and orthopedic conditions, and other OT-specialty practice areas such as industrial rehabilitation, low vision, hand therapy and driver’s rehabilitation. Application of integrated theories and clinical reasoning for occupation-based interventions. Consideration of OT domain and process, client factors, and client performance skills and patterns as defined by the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework. Includes an introduction to the use of standardized and non-standardized functional assessments, intervention planning, and documentation specific to this population - 3 lecture hours. Prerequisites:
