NURS 3101 Child and Family Nursing
This course studies physiological, psychosocial and cultural factors affecting development and health of child and family care. Emphasis is placed on health promotion, health restoration and illness prevention concepts in caring for children across the developmental period - 2 theory hours. Successful completion of both the theory and clinical components of the course with a letter grade of ‘C+’ (2.3) or higher is necessary to pass the course. Prerequisites: Successful completion of the previous semester’s Nursing course work with a ‘C+’ (2.3) or higher and successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in the Examined Life CORE requirement with a grade of 'C' (2.0) or higher, eligible for junior 2 level standing in the Nursing program.
