ENGL 3051 Latin American Literatures
Study of significant works of Latin American writers. Focus on social and historical movements conceiving Latin America as a flexible non-territorial term but rather as the embodied experience of colonialism in broad territorialities such as the US, Mexico, Guatemala, and Brazil. Course covers artistic movements, such as the feminist literature wave in Mexico, disability and poetry, and queer Chicanx literature in the US, through an eclectic mix of prose, poetry, and film.
