Adult Degree Completion Program 4+1 Leadership and Management Program BA-to-MBA
Dominican’s Barowsky School of Business offers options to accelerate the pursuit of an MBA degree, while pursuing the BA in Leadership and Management. These options are described below:
- The major of Leadership and Management offers ADC students the opportunity to complete courses toward a Dominican MBA which are part of the Leadership and Management major. Students who earn a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in the BUS 4180 Marketing for Managers course (waive MBA 5402: Marketing Management) and/or the - BUS 4141 Organizational Behavior and Human Resources course in the Leadership & Management major (waive MBA 5409: Organizational Behavior, and choose to pursue the MBA following the BA graduation may waive these courses in the Barowsky Business School’s MBA program.
- The Barowsky School of Business has a unique and exciting BA-to-MBA 4+1 Program, which allows mid-career professionals enrolled in the ADC-BA in Leadership and Management program to enroll in up to four MBA courses (12-units) to be used as elective upper division units toward the BA degree, replacing four 3-unit undergraduate courses. ADC students who meet the admission requirements to the ADC 4+1 MBA program may apply those same 12-units toward the MBA. When ADC students complete the undergraduate degree requirements, the BA degree will be conferred. Then, students continue as MBA students to complete their graduate degree.
Admission criteria to the ADC 4+1 MBA program, allowing ADC students to enroll in the MBA courses for their BA degree electives are:
- Minimum of 60 college level units (combined of transfer and Dominican units)
- 12 of these units must be upper division at Dominican University of California with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Important Note: A maximum of twelve (12) units may be applied toward the MBA using the Marketing and Leadership courses in the Leadership and Management major, or the MBA courses taken as electives as an undergraduate or a combination of both.
