Healthcare Leadership Concentration (MBA)
The MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Leadership is a graduate business degree that focuses on building leadership skills in the healthcare industry to prepare students with the competencies, market-driven skills, and experiential learning necessary to lead, innovate, and transform the healthcare industry.
As one of the only hybrid programs of its kind in the Bay Area, the program is able to leverage the vast healthcare partnerships Dominican has curated through its renowned biological sciences, clinical laboratory sciences, nursing, occupational therapy, and physician assistant programs. Designed for working professionals, the courses feature a face-to-face and online meetings, small class size, high faculty interaction, and guided career mentoring.
Students will gain hands-on experience not only in functional areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, management and global business, but also through state-of-the-art courses in healthcare economics, policies, laws & regulations, healthcare analytics, and healthcare informatics. The program culminates with a Global Consulting Practicum, featuring an international trip focused on project-based learning with healthcare clients.
Graduate degree candidates must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 ('B') or higher in the graduate program and may have only two final grades of 'C' in their coursework at the time of graduation. Any grade below 'C' (2.0) will not satisfy the graduation requirement for a graduate degree. Students may repeat courses in which they received a grade of 'C' or below. If a student repeats a course in which they received a grade of 'C' or below, the most recently earned letter grade will determine whether a degree requirement has been met. All the letter grades for all the registered courses during the graduate program will be listed on the transcript.
