Business Analytics (MS)
The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) is a one-year intensive program targeting recent college graduates and working professionals who are interested in acquiring skills in business analytics. The goal of the MSBA is to develop graduates who can perform relevant data analysis and transform analytical results into actionable business insights.
Students enrolled in this one-year ‘hybrid’ program will learn to use quantitative data analytics tools (including Python, R, SAS, and Tableau) to transform complex data into actionable business decisions and communicate the results effectively. Graduates will be prepared for careers such as data analyst, data scientist, business analyst, financial analyst, marketing analyst, operations analyst, supply chain analyst, forensic analyst, gap analyst, and program/product management.
The MSBA is suited for recent college graduates with strong quantitative background, as well as business professionals who want to change careers and working professionals who are interested in developing their skills in analytics.
The MSBA is a 12-month program with a target launch date of September 2020. This program consists of 12 three unit courses including a practicum for a total of 36 units. Students will take two courses over a seven-week (two-month) period. Classes are held on campus every other Saturday and during two 160-minute online sessions weekly.

Graduate of this program will be able to:
- Use quantitative data analysis and cutting-edge analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS, and Tableau to transform data into business insights.
- Devise actionable business decisions by using sophisticated business analytics techniques such as optimization and machine learning.
- Employ data visualization to communicate complex data effectively.
- Identify potential ethical issues related to business analytics and formulate appropriate solutions.
