PA 5380 Clinical Medicine II
This course is the second of a two-course sequence (Spring, Summer) in clinical medicine. During this course sequence, students will receive systems-based education on patient evaluation, diagnosis, and management across the life span. The pathophysiologic basis of disease, (including genetics and molecular mechanisms of disease), generating differential diagnoses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies will be covered. Additionally, the clinical medicine series will challenge students to apply their knowledge through problem-based case scenarios to develop problem solving and medical decision-making skills. The systems that will be included in semester 3 include: Urology/Nephrology, Women�s Health, Neurology, Musculoskeletal/Rheumatology, Psychiatry, and Infectious Diseases - 12 week session. Summer I - Phase I. Successful completion of both the theory and lab components of the course is required to pass the course.
