ARTH 3108 Renaissance and Renaissances in the Global World

Course focuses on the concept and creation of �renaissances� in art, history, literature, religion, and philosophy from the past to the present. The arts of the �Italian� and �Northern� Renaissances in 16th century Europe, and the renaissance of arts of diverse Asian cultures within diverse cultural/social frameworks. Course investigates the concept of a �renaissance� � and the social/political agendas this designation represents.
