HIST 3023 War and Remembrance

This course focuses on the interaction of war and people, their societies, literature, art, technologies, thought, and gender to consider how war transforms societies and people. How did people respond to visions of victory and the traumatic consequences? How did the rebuild their worlds. How did the memory of the war contribute to that new world? How was the war commemorated in public space?
