BUS 4074 Entrepreneurship

This course focuses on developing successful business ideas; moving from an idea to an entrepreneurial firm and then managing and growing the firm. Students will learn the process of planning, starting, and positioning new businesses which link directly to customer requirements through understanding unmet market opportunities or customer needs. Students will develop a business plan for a start-up firm. Topics related to social entrepreneurship, legal, and IP issues will also be explored. Students in the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GIE) minor will participate in a start-up pitch and business plan competition. It is recommended that students first take BUS 2059 if completing the GIE Minor.
