MBAH 5406 Managerial Finance for Healthcare
The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of the interrelationship between strategy and finance within healthcare organizations from the management perspective. Particular attention is given to differences between for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and regulatory constraints in the healthcare sector. Topics include ratio analysis, cost accounting, rate setting, capital budgeting, sources of financing, cash management, variance analysis and current healthcare financing issues.
