MBA 5419 HY: Applied Business Statistics for Decision Making

This course is application-oriented and covers topics in statistical methods applied to Business. Students learn some primary statistical methods applicable to business decision-making in a contemporary business context. Topics include descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, discrete and continuous variable analysis, multivariate techniques, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, visualization, etc. This course emphasizes the applications of learned knowledge through realistic business-related cases and datasets. This course requires students to use excel and other statistical software (e.g., R) for data analysis, output interpretation, and reporting.
