HIST 1211 History Lab: U.S. History from 1890s to Present

This course examines U.S. history from the late 19th century up through the present-day. This includes the U.S. involvement in the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, and the Cold War; but also includes social, cultural and economic features such as the Progressive Movement, the Great Depression, the Harlem Renaissance, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Rise of Conservatism. since the contested nature of the historical narrative intersects with issues of race, class and gender in American society. This course includes a community-based learning project.
