OT 3228 Occupational Science: The Science of Everyday Living
Occupational science is an interdisciplinary academic discipline that focuses on the study of humans as occupational beings. This course will encourage critical discussion of core concepts in occupational science. Topics may include occupational justice, identity, temporality, cultural-social-historical-political context and the form, function and meaning of occupation. Each student will be expected to reflect upon and challenge various concepts in occupational science and apply these concepts to occupational therapy practice. Prerequisites:
