ART 1014 Introduction to 4D Art and Design/Time-Based Media
Students establish a base for visual thinking and artistic expression in the 4D and time-base media realm. Guided by the principles of art and design, students will develop foundational vocabulary, conceptual and technical skills, for creating original artwork using four-dimensional and time-based media which includes the use of computers and video, photo, sound, and lighting equipment. Thematic In-class assignments are designed to sequentially build skills and become conceptually more complex. In their assignments students will create artwork using 4D media, processes, and conceptual approaches. Art assignments involve hands on making as well as practice and research assignments that emphasize creative and critical thinking processes used in artistic expression. **Additional fee applies.**
