ENGL 3037 Queer Anglophone Literature and Film
This course examines representations of queer sexuality in a British milieu through literature, film, and theory. Foundational texts in queer theory, including those by Foucault, Sedgwick, and Bersani, inform the reading of works across historical periods�from Renaissance to Victorian, modern to contemporary�and by authors including Marlowe, Shakespeare, Wilde, Rossetti, Forster, Woolf, Isherwood, Winterson, and Kureishi.
