BUS 1009 Exploring the World of Business: Discovering the World of Business and You II

This personal/professional development seminar explores contemporary business issues and interactions with society, both domestically and globally. While practicing critical thinking through in–class discussions and written reflections of current events depicted in the news, students consider personal values and beliefs. Examining business functions, inter-related disciplines and engaging with faculty and professionals, students consider optimal matches for a major linked to career by exploring their values, interests, talents, skills, strengths and self-efficacy. Dominican’s and Barowsky Business School’s core values and educational programs are reviewed Experience foundations of listening, networking at campus events and field trips to San Francisco Bay Area businesses. Required for all business majors.
