RLGN 3182 Ethics: Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Applications

An analysis of the dominant ethical schools of thought explicit and implicit in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, with attention to both the similarities between those religions and to the diversity within each religion. Contemporary examples will serve to illustrate how much adherents of all three religions have struggled to live out their ideals, both in terms of personal ethics and social ethics.
