HONO 3026 Psychology of Media: TV & The Internet

This class focuses on the cultural, social and personal impact that the two most influential aspects of the mass media, television and the Internet hav eon us. We review television programming trends from an historical perspective, including media portrayals of women and various minority groups, and examine the psychological and social impact of violent and sexual TV content. The class also examines the psychological and social issues related to the rise of Internet use and its impact on the medium of television.
