HONO 3030 SL: Evolution of Human Cultures

This course will focus on the emergence of human beings and their cultural ability to extract energy from their environment, first in hunter-gatherer cultures; then in agrarian multicultural civilizations; and finally in today’s complex industrial societies. The students will also work with a local community organization on a "culture project" and a community engagement activity.
