NURS 2050 Medical-Surgical Nursing I
This is the first in a series of three med-surg courses. Concepts foundational to nursing care of adults are introduced. Patient safety and culturally appropriate nursing care are emphasized - 2 theory hours. Successful completion of both the theory and clinical components of the course with a letter grade of ‘C+’ (2.3) or higher is necessary to pass the course. Prerequisites: Successful completion of the previous semester’s Nursing course work with a ‘C+’ (2.3) or higher and successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in
PSY 3187,
BIO 3450 and
BIO 3455, and EC 2000 with a grade of 'C' (2.0) or higher (or concurrent enrollment). Eligible for sophomore 2 level standing in the Nursing program. This course has an additional $130 Fee to cover Kaplan testing expenses.
