ART 1092 Portfolio Development: Foundations II
Taken at the Junior second semester, this personal/professional development seminar series promotes explorations of art and design theories and practices in order to discover and strengthen important connections between foundational studies, personal values, interests, talents, skills, and strengths, professional outlook, and the broader visual culture. Class conversations and activities include reviewing and reflecting on current art and design work, conversations with professionals, and field trips to Bay Area art and design venues. Students continue to contribute to their ‘Signature Work’ tab in their digital portfolio and develop an artist statement and the rough concepts around their thesis statement.
