HONO 3140 Structures of Faith

Religion is often primarily expressed and appreciated through art/visuals. Course covers how the divine is and has been represented in art and architecture the world over, by studying/comparing world religions in terms of their creative expression, while also offering crucial historical information on the origins, foundations, principal beliefs, and key practices of diverse religious traditions. As an Honors course, particular emphasis will be given to how the course will incorporate project-based learning and relevant community involvement. Meets Purpose and Meaning requirement.
