GPH 4210 Comparative Health Policy

This course examines the structure and roles of the health care and public health systems in the U.S. and globally. Health care policy in the U.S. will be compared to other developed and developing countries.The U.S. Constitutional authority for public health actions such as quarantine are discussed, as well as the current politics impacting health policy and the role of advocacy organizations in health policy and systems change. Course is open to students from other majors - 4 lecture hours.
