ENGL 5409 Autobiographical/Biographical Writing
Introduction to the art of writing the personal essay and biographical sketch through readings, exercises, and workshopping. **Graduate students will focus on the genres of autobiography and biography, examining the art and practice of these forms. Graduate students will read and critique additional major works of historical and contemporary personal essayists and memoirists as well as submit an expanded portfolio of creative writing.
