PSY 4072 Psychological Issues of Social Work

This course will familiarize students to social work practice which is multi-level engagement to working in systems to effect change. This course will introduce students to the Code of Ethics and core values that govern social work practice. Students will learn how diversity and social justice are key constructs to social change. Students will learn about the various practice areas, tasks , functions and mandates that social workers perform and follow. Students will also learn about various modalities and interventions that social workers utilize to support their client populations.
