BIO 3991 Advanced Scientific Communication

This is a research based course designed to develop advanced techniques for oral and written presentations of scientific information. The focus is on higher level scientific literacy, using detailed article summaries and critical analyses. Primary literature will be used to write scientific research papers and develop informational oral presentations. A variety of topics may be investigated, including field biology, organismal biology, molecular cell physiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, and environmental sciences - 3 lecture hours. Spring semester. Prerequisite: BIO 3990 or consent of instructor.
