CMS 3609 Health Communication

This course will educate students about the broad and dynamic field of health communication. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the communication process as it pertains to health communication in various contexts (i.e., strategic, intercultural, patient/provider, family, etc.), as well as introduce students to the principles, theory, and practice of health communication. Students will also develop critical thinking skills, refine real-world application skills in the health context, and understand the dynamic roles of health communication in diverse situations.
