CHEM 4998 Directed Research: Chemistry

In this course students will carry out experimental research projects in various fields of chemistry under the guidance of an instructor. This involves literature searching, developing research project, performing research, collection and analyzing of data, oral and poster presentation of research at a peer forum, and a written submission of the work in a thesis format. Course may be taken for 1-6 units. 1 unit equals 45 hours. Course may be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: consent of the Program Chair. Contract required.
