HUM 5231 Digital Humanities

An introduction to the field of digital humanities through an exploration of theory and praxis, this course provides an overview of the interactive relationship between digital technology, literature and the arts. We will also consider how digital tools have forged new directions for criticism in humanistic fields. Students will complete projects using digital tools across different media (for instance, websites, podcasts, vlogs, mapping tools, and games, depending on student interests and instructor expertise).
